Here’s what’s happening at El Camino this month.
The kids are back in school, the summer crowds are thinning out, and if we’re being honest, we might… MIGHT… catch a cool breeze or two before October. September in Corpus is good. And at El Camino, we’ve got a full month to prove it.
Your Weekly Lineup
Some things are just a given. Every week, here’s where you should be.
Taco Tuesdays
Every Tuesday, 5 to 10pm. All you can eat tacos for $30. Truly, what else do you need on a Tuesday night?
Loteria Night
Every Thursday at 7pm. Loteria, cold margaritas, a room full of people having a really good time. It’s the best Thursday night in Corpus and we will stand by that.
Mariachis
Every Friday, 7 to 9pm. Live mariachi music to kick your weekend off right. Once you’ve heard it, you’ll wonder how you ever started a Friday any other way.
Sunday Brunch
Every Sunday, 11am to 2pm. Kids 12 and under eat free. Come in, slow down, eat good food. Sunday is better here.
Spirits of the West | September 4
Once a month, we do something a little different. Every first Friday, El Camino hosts a seated dinner built around a featured craft spirit: a thoughtfully curated multi-course menu, cocktail pairings, and an intimate setting that makes for one of the best nights downtown has to offer.
This month we’re featuring Rasmussen Farms Distillery out of El Campo, Texas. Four generations and 75 years of Gulf Coast farming, seed to spirit and grain to glass. We built the menu around their vodka and gin, and it’s a good one.
September Menu
Smoked Picanha with Chimichurri, Poblano Mac and Cheese, Tres Leches Creme Brulee, Paired with Rasmussen Farms Vodka and Gin
Apps are served at 6:30pm. $100 per person, reservations required and spots go fast. Call us or send us a message to grab yours!
Labor Day Weekend
Labor Day weekend is here and we are all for it. Soak up the long weekend, make some plans, get outside. Just know that all Water Street restaurants will be closed Monday, September 7. We’re giving our team the day they deserve. These people show up every single week and make El Camino what it is, and we don’t take that lightly. Back at it Tuesday, better than ever!
Texas Food Championships | September 25-27
Something big is coming to Corpus Christi this month. The Texas Food Championships are rolling into Water’s Edge Park September 25 through 27, with over 150 competitors, 10 categories, and a shot at the World Food Championships on the line. Throw in live music, craft beverages, local vendors, and a full weekend buzzing on the bayfront, and yeah, this is going to be a good one. We’ll be out there pouring drinks all weekend, so come find us!
On the Horizon: Surftoberfest
October 17. Mark it. Surftoberfest is one of the best days of the year in downtown Corpus Christi, and it’ll be here before you know it! Stay tuned for more details, we’ve got some fun things in store.
September is looking good. Come see us.
